Sources of plant-based protein

Beans  (e.g., black, pinto, chickpeas, lentils, kidney, peas)
Quinoa
Green peas
Wild rice, brown rice
Nuts, nut butters, and other seeds
Soy – tofu, tempeh, edamame beans
Peanut butter
Nutritional yeast has a cheesy flavor and can be sprinkled on many different dishes
Oats and oatmeal
Plant-based milk (e.g., soy, almond, cashew)
Some vegetables and fruits are easy sources of protein (e.g., broccoli, spinach, asparagus, artichokes, potatoes, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts, avocado, bananas, nectarines, guava, blackberries)
