10) VUU / Citizens’ Climate Lobby Earth Day Quiz

CCL supports a policy for carbon pricing to clean up our air and reduce green-house gas emissions that contribute to global warming.  The Energy Innovation Act – H.R. 2307 – was introduced in Congress April 2021. A fee would be placed on fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas.  It starts low and grows over time. Energy companies, leading industries, and American consumers will move toward cleaner, cheaper options.  The money collected from the carbon fee is allocated in equal shares every month to the American people as a carbon cashback dividend to spend with no restrictions. Program costs are paid from the fees collected; the government does not keep any of the money.  To protect U.S. manufacturers and jobs, imported goods will pay a border carbon adjustment, and goods exported from the United States will receive a refund.
